Arts & Music Competition (30th Anniversary)
26th October 2016
Still in the spirit of the 30th Anniversary celebration, on Tuesday 25th October, we had an ART/MUSIC COMPETION by pupils from different schools.
The program was put together to preach a message against the troubles we have all over the world. As the leaders of tomorrow, we want our future to be secured.
We had 10 schools represented at the event.
• Scholars Crest,
• Tomobid Children School,
• Royal Crest Academy,
• Agidingbi Pry School,
• New Oko-Oba Pry School,
• Taqwa Private School,
• Tofek School,
• Lara Day School and
• Rolam School.
There was also an art exhibition where pupils exhibited their Artistic works. It was a wonderful experience as these pupils took the judges around their works explaining what each work means.
Because we had more participations in Music than Art, the Award for Arts was limited to 1st and 2nd positions only while Music had 1st-3rd positions.
For the Musical Category; Royal Crest Academy, Alagbado came 1st; Taqwa Private School Agege came 2nd and Scholars Crest came 3rd. While in ART competition, Scholars Crest came 1st and Tomobid Children School came 2nd.
After the competition, 5 schools on ground took to the stage with 5 pupils each from these schools to sing a song together “We are the world” with our hands held and raised so as to pass a message to everyone.
Indeed it was an event that showed that the pupils of today are ready to Save Our World.
